Samukh District
Samux is a rayon in Azerbaijan. The capital of the district is the city Samux, whose name was Nəbiağalı 2008 to 13 June. The name comes from the Caucasian- Albanian word for the place of hunting in the forest.
Geography
The district has an area of 1,210 km ². Through the rayon, the rivers flow Kura, Qabırrı, Ganikh and Gusgara. He is partially wooded, oak and pine forests prevail.
Population
In Rayon 2009 53.400 people lived in 29 settlements.
Economy
The economy is dominated by agriculture. It is grown mainly fruit, vegetables, wine and operated livestock.
