San Giacomo di Rialto

San Giacomo di Rialto (San Giacometto ) in the San Polo district is probably the oldest church in Venice. It was consecrated according to legend, in the year 421 and rebuilt in the 12th century. After the Rialto fires of 1531 and 1601 it was renewed and some baroque. The preserved the porch, which was formerly common. The church is known for the large clock from the 15th century to the input, then the business district of Venice, a useful facility.
