San Pablo Guelatao is a municipality in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, about 55 km north of the city of Oaxaca located at 1780 m. It is the birthplace of Mexico's most famous president Benito Juárez. 1810 to Juárez ' youth, Guelatao had a population of about 100 people, 2001, the site had more than 1,200 inhabitants.

Guelatao located at the foothills of the Sierra Madre. Most of the inhabitants are Zapotecs. The village has a small museum about the history of this population.
