Sandy Gbandi

Sandy Gbandi ( born July 12, 1983 in Firestone, Margibi County, Liberia ) is a Liberian - American soccer player.

The family arrived at the beginning of the Liberian Civil War in the USA in 1989 and lived in Houston. Here Gbandi also visited the College.

Sports career

As a teenager, he played for the Houston Dynamo and the Houston Texans. In his second year ( sophomore ), he was appointed to the First Team All- Conference USA in 2004 and a year later nominated for the Second Team All- Conference USA. Sandy Gbandi went in January 2007 as a professional for FC Dallas. After only one year, he moved in January 2008 to Puerto Rico Islanders FC. He is the younger brother of Chris Gbandi, who also played for Dallas.
