Sandy Turnbull

Alexander " Sandy" Turnbull (* 1884 in Hurlford, Scotland, † May 3, 1917 in Arras, France) was a Scottish football player.

Life and career

Turnbull began his football career with his hometown club Hurlford Thistle. Later he moved to Manchester City. 1905, the entire team of Manchester City was suspended from the football game, which is why Turnbull moved to city rivals Manchester United. His first game for the Red Devils made ​​the Scotsman on January 1, 1907 against Aston Villa.
