Sant'Omobono

The church is located on the Capitoline hill Sant'Omobono in the Rione Ripa in Rome.

The previous church of San Salvatore in Portico of the 4th century was rebuilt from the 15th century and completed in 1574 after the sale to the Università dei Sartori ( guilds of tailors ) and consecrated Homobonus of Cremona, the patron saint of tailors.

According to her the excavation site Area Sacra di Sant'Omobono was named that surrounds the church.
