Saparua

Saparua, Indonesian Pulau Saparua, is a 161 km ² large Indonesian island located in the south-west of Seram in Maluku province. Saparua forms, together with the Molana a subdistrict ( kecamatan ) of the administrative district ( kabupaten ) of the Central Moluccas.

Adjacent are the island Haruku and east Nusa Laut in the West. The capital is Saparua town on the south coast in the Bay of Saparua.

To life are the harvest of nutmeg and cloves, and the use of sago palms for the production of Palmsago.
