Sara Josefina Holmgren ( born March 29, 1979 in Hörby, Sweden) is a Swedish handball player.

The 1.81 m wide circle player began with 10 years playing handball in her hometown at IK Lagan. For Team Skåne she gave her debut at age 18 in the highest Swedish league. In 2001, Holmgren moved on to Danish club Horsens HK, with whom she won the 2004 Danish Cup. From the season 2005/ 06, the right-handed for the league rivals FCK Håndbold ran on. Since 2008, Holmgren is in the squad of the German Bundesliga club HC Leipzig, with whom she won the championship in 2009 and 2010.

So far, Holmgren played 135 matches for the Swedish selection, in which they scored 180 goals. With the " Three Crowns team," she took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. It belongs to the contingent of their national federation in the 2009 World Cup in China.
