Sarah-Jane (singer)

Sarah -Jane ( born September 26, 1985 in India) is a singer of popular hits from Rothenfluh in Oberbaselbiet ( Switzerland ). It works together with the composer Joseph Schwantner.

Biography

At the age of six months, Sarah -Jane ( biological daughter of Indian parents) was adopted by a Swiss couple. She spent her childhood in Rothenfluh and still alive ( canton of Basel-Land ) is always there.

Career

2003 Sarah -Jane was discovered during the talent competition of the Alps Schlager Festival in Engelberg. In 2004, she reached the second place in the Swiss Trials Grand Prix of Folk Music in 2004, where it then but had to settle for 16th and last place with the title I'm much too young. At the Grand Prix der Volksmusik 2005, she reached out with the song Once, once her second place, after winning superior Swiss preliminary decision. On 7 June 2008 she sang in front of 42,500 spectators at the opening of Euro 2008 in Basel, the Swiss national anthem.
