Sarah Lyttelton, Baroness Lyttelton ( born as Lady Sarah Spencer ) ( born July 29, 1787 Althorp, Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom, † 1870 in Hagley ) was a British maid of honor, the governess of Edward VII and the wife of William Lyttelton, 3. Baron Lyttelton.

Family

She was the eldest daughter of the politician Sir George Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer ( 1758-1834 ) and Lady Lavinia Bingham ( 1762-1831 ) was born. On March 1813, she married Sir William Henry Lyttelton, 3rd Lord Lyttelton. From the marriage were two daughters, Caroline (1816-1902) and Lavinia (1821-1850), and three sons, George (1817-1876), Spencer (1818-1889) and William (1820-1884) produced. On July 25, 1839 married her eldest son George (then 4th Baron) Mary, daughter of Sir Stephen Glynne.
