Althorp

Althorp House is a country estate and a mansion in the English county of Northamptonshire. It is located about eight kilometers north- west of Northampton. Althorp, the ancestral home of the Earls Spencer family. Althorp was built in 1688 by the Earl of Sunderland.

After her fatal accident in 1997 Diana, the first wife of the current British heir to the throne Charles was buried on a small island in the middle of the insert on the estate lake.
