Sarah Vaillancourt

Sarah Marie Vaillancourt ( born May 8, 1985 in Sherbrooke, Quebec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player.

Life

Vaillancourt studied between 2004 and 2009 psychology at Harvard University and played until the end of their studies, with her ​​university team in the ECAC. With her ​​team, she was twice champion and runner-up once. She is a member of the Canadian national hockey team of women since 2003.

The Canadian team won the gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and again in 2010 in Vancouver. In 2008 she received the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as the best female college hockey player.

Vaillancourt lives openly homosexual.
