Sarajevo Tramway

The tram Sarajevo is the tram system of Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo. It is the only in the country and is the municipal transport companies Javno Komunalno Preduzece - operated Gradski Saobraćaj Sarajevo. Since 1984, the tram is supplemented by trolleybus Sarajevo.

History

The tram Sarajevo went on 1 January 1885 as a horse-drawn railway in operation and was originally performed in the Bosnian gauge of 760 millimeters. On May 1, 1895, was electrified in 1960 and finally umgespurt 1435 mm standard gauge. The network now consists of a 10.7 km long east - west connection from the district Bescarsija starting - leading up to the district Ilidža - where a large block loop is traversed counterclockwise. Lines

Comprised of 27 stops route network is served by six lines as follows:

The former line 7 Nedzarici - Skenderija is no longer operated. The main line 3 runs from 5:00 bis 23:30 clock clock. The remaining lines serve as an amplifier, they take over the business around 6:00 clock in the morning and back already 17:30 to 22:30 clock back into the vault.
