Sarbsk

Sarbsk ( German Sarbske, Kashubian Sôrbsk ) is a village with 212 inhabitants ( 2006) in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It is located in the municipality Wicko ( Vietzig ) in the powiat Leborski at an altitude of about 37 meters above sea level. The southern shore of Lake Sarbsker is about 1.5 kilometers north of the village. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Wicko about ten kilometers to the southwest of Sarbsk away. Main sources of income of the village are the tourism and forestry and agriculture.

The first written record dates from 1377. Until 1945 the village belonged to Germany. It was i Pom in the district of Lauenburg. the Prussian province of Pomerania. The name Sarsen got the place under the Nazis.
