Sarp (Georgian სარფი, Laz Sarpi ) is the southern part of the divided border village in the province of Artvin in northeastern Turkey. It lies on the Georgian- Turkish border at an altitude of about 50 meters adjacent to the coast of the Black Sea and belongs to the district of Hopa. The inhabitants belong to the people of the hydrolases. Located in neighboring Georgia is Sarpi.

Sarp was located during the Ottoman period in the judicial district of the Sanjak gönye Lazistan. After the Russo- Ottoman war in 1878 Sarp went over to the Russian Empire. Between 1918 and 1921 it was part of the Democratic Republic of Georgia. As the boundaries between the Soviet Union and Turkey have been established in 1921, the village was decided to divide.
