Saryarka ( Kazakh Сарыарқа ) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Kazakhstan. The official name is " Saryarka - Steppe and Lakes Nordkasachstans ". The area is located east of Astana in the Kazakhstan threshold to the Tengizsee and was declared on 7 July 2008 as a World Heritage Site.

The World Heritage Site comprises two protected areas, the Naurzum Nature Reserve and Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve. Together they cover an area of ​​450 344 ha in the protected areas are wetlands, which are important resting areas for threatened migratory birds such as the rare Siberian Crane. The Lakes Korgalzhyn and Tengiz are temporarily visited by up to 15 million birds. About 250,000 birds breed in this area. In the field of Naurzum Lakes breed even 500,000 birds. The steppes of the region are next to an important refuge for the Saiga Antelope.
