Sascha Maier

Sascha Maier ( born January 2, 1974 in Marbach am Neckar ) is a former German football player.

He began playing football at VfR Großbottwar. About the youth teams of TSG Steinheim and SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg he came 1991 U19 VfB Stuttgart. In the men Maier was first used in the second team before he aufrückte in the professional squad of VfB 1994. His only league game he played on 17 June 1995 when he came off the bench on the last Bundesliga match day 3-1 home victory over MSV Duisburg in the 49th minute.

As a result, Sascha Maier played for several clubs in the regional league, and also played for SV Waldhof Mannheim six second division matches in the 2000/ 01 season. In 2007, Maier had his professional career end due to an injury at the regional league SV 07 Elversberg.
