Sasse Rides is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, south of the Mare Nubium, northeast of the crater Tycho and south of the smaller crater ball The crater of delineating a diameter of about 80 kilometers, but because of strong erosion and superposition of the crater rim it is poorly.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Danish astronomer and physician Gellius Sascerides.
