Saukrieg

The so-called Saukrieg (1555-1558) was a feud between Hans von Carlowitz on Zuschendorf and the Bishop of Meissen Johann IX. Haugwitz, during which Carlowitz in pursuing the claim many pigs of the subjects of the bishop was drifting away, which explains the strange name of the feud as Saukrieg.

In 1555 died the brother of Hans von Carlowitz, Nicholas II of Carlowitz, Bishop of Meissen. He was succeeded by Bishop John IX. Haug joke. Because of the heritage of the bishop a dispute between the bishop and the subsequent late brother's sons, especially Hans von Carlowitz to Zuschendorf developed.

In the Marienkirche Dohna in the northeastern Betstübchen the tomb is situated with the sculpture of the main initiator of this feud, the knight Hans von Carlowitz whose nobility were Dohna vassals of the viscount of Dohna until the fall of the castle county.
