Sauveur Gandolfi-Scheit

Sauveur Gandolfi - log ( born January 19, 1947 in Bastia ) is a French politician. He is the National Assembly since 2007 deputy.

Gandolfi log already joined in 1958 at the age of eleven, during a visit by Charles de Gaulle in Corsica, where he grew up, the Gaullist Union pour la Nouvelle République on. Later he became one of the successor party to the RPR and the arising therefrom UMP. In his youth, he was also active as an athlete and was, among other Corsican champion in the 100 -meter run. In 1975, he completed his medical studies in Marseille, earned a doctorate in 1976 and returned back as a doctor to Bastia. In the same year he was elected mayor of the small town Biguglia. In advance of the 1986 parliamentary elections, he was proposed as a possible candidate of the Gaullists, but was ultimately only representative of Pierre Pasquini, who succeeded the election for deputies. On the other hand, he managed in the same year a place in the Regional Council of Corsica. In the following years he worked in various Corsican associations and companies, including Compagnie Corse Méditerranée for. He was also chairman of the department of Haute- Corse, which was founded in 2002 UMP. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, he took up in the first constituency of the Haute -Corse and defeated it in the second round with 53.9 % the previous Communist deputies; the constituency was previously for 45 years in communist hands. In 2012 he was re-elected.
