Schaggi Streuli
Schaggi Streuli ( born July 4, 1899 in Bauma, † November 3, 1980 ibid; actually Emil Kaegi ) was a well known and popular Swiss writer, comedian, dialect poet and dialect actor.
Biography
Born the sixth child of an alcoholic small farmers and carpenters his mother moved after the divorce in 1905 with the children to Zurich - Hoengg. After school he got an apprenticeship at a bank and soon began to write their own plays. In 1928 he married Elisabeth Eigenheer and opened a tavern, which, however, soon went bankrupt it in Ticino. Streuli 1929 returned with his wife to Zurich and took a job as an offshoot in a butcher shop in Zurich -Oerlikon at. After the early death of their child Hansruedeli (Hans Rudolf) in 1931 just two years old, died in 1933 he left his first wife Lisel Eigenheer and married in 1939 Hedwig Obrist.
Streuli lived with his wife Hedwig in the fifties in Upper Langenhard (municipality cell ), then Schmidrüti as well as on a small farm in stone creek near Wila, where in his spare time he worked on his poultry and woodwork. After a short illness he died on November 3 1980 at 18.15 Clock hospital in Bauma.
Career

A first job as an actor he received in 1936 at the Corso Theatre, Zurich. He had more appearances in the thirties and forties in the famous Cabaret Cornichon in Zurich and at the adult stage. From 1947 to the fifties Streuli was as a writer and actor also played along to the theater Fédéral in the well-known names like Lukas Ammann, Max Haufler, Stephanie Glaser, Blanche Aubry, César Keiser and Margrit Läubli.
From 1939 he used the stage name Schaggi Streuli. He had in 1938 in the Swiss feature film Fusilier Wipf his first small role in a movie. He was especially in his signature role of Poli Wäckerli hisses from the same 17 -part radio radio drama ( 1949-1950 ) and the estimates based on movies (1955 and 1966 ) and television series ( 1963-1964 ) is known, in which he wrote and Actor in a worked.

In July 2004, on his last place of residence in the canton of Zurich Tösstal in his memory and in the presence of cabaret legend Walter Roderer (whose sponsors Streuli had been in the fifties ) was dedicated to the " Schaggi - Streuli Trail ". While the life and work of the actor will be honored on various information boards along the trail.
