Schaggi Streuli

Schaggi Streuli ( born July 4, 1899 in Bauma, † November 3, 1980 ibid; actually Emil Kaegi ) was a well known and popular Swiss writer, comedian, dialect poet and dialect actor.

Biography

Born the sixth child of an alcoholic small farmers and carpenters his mother moved after the divorce in 1905 with the children to Zurich - Hoengg. After school he got an apprenticeship at a bank and soon began to write their own plays. In 1928 he married Elisabeth Eigenheer and opened a tavern, which, however, soon went bankrupt it in Ticino. Streuli 1929 returned with his wife to Zurich and took a job as an offshoot in a butcher shop in Zurich -Oerlikon at. After the early death of their child Hansruedeli (Hans Rudolf) in 1931 just two years old, died in 1933 he left his first wife Lisel Eigenheer and married in 1939 Hedwig Obrist.

Streuli lived with his wife Hedwig in the fifties in Upper Langenhard (municipality cell ), then Schmidrüti as well as on a small farm in stone creek near Wila, where in his spare time he worked on his poultry and woodwork. Career
