Nearby rock formations are the rocks and small rocks alley alley. At the foot of the rock there is a panel with geological information and a shelter.

Geology

The rock tower of sharp stone protrudes about 25 meters from the environment. The east-west oriented reef is about 40 meters wide. This is due to the silicification of the sandstone by ascending thermal solutions. The softer ashlar sandstone in the area weathered faster and so laid the "harder" Scharfstein free. The sharp stone in the south, another smaller rock tower, the Sharp Stone Needle upstream.

View

Due to its exposed location, it has an unobstructed panoramic view of the Oybin, the Listen, the high forest, the ridge in the Czech Republic and in good visibility to the Giant Mountains from the summit.
