Scheele (crater)

Scheele is a small, bowl -shaped impact crater on the lunar front side in the plane of the Oceanus Procellarum south of the crater Wichmann and northwest of Herigonius.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 after the German - Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele.
