Schleuniger
The Thun Schleuniger company is a global technology group and equipment in the cable industry. Customers of the Schleuniger Group supply mainly the automotive, entertainment and information industry and the communications industry. Development and production are located in Switzerland, Germany and China. There are four sales and service companies in the USA, Germany, China and Japan, and more than 40 distributors worldwide. The Schleuniger Group represents the wire processing of listed metal train group and employs around 500 people worldwide.
History
1991 took over Gerhard Jansen (until 2009 Chairman of the Board ) and Martin Strehl ( CEO until 2009 ), based in Thun Sutter Electronic AG. At this time, Sutter Electronic AG generated including cable processing machines sales of CHF 5 million and 30 employees. In 1993, the new owners of the Schleuniger Productronic AG in Solothurn, also used to produce machines for wire processing, but also still had access to the international market. Both companies were then combined into a group of companies under the name Schleuniger. 1999, until then independent German representation L H cable technology was acquired GmbH. In the same year the acquisition of Kirsten AG also made possible the opening of the crimp market for Schleuniger. Two years later Schleuniger increased with the establishment of Schleuniger Flexon AG in the market for POF and FFC cable. In 2004, the Schleuniger Group of the American Lear Corporation Inc. the business activities of German Grote & Hartmann Engineering Gmbh ( GHWE ). It was developed in Germany the result with the newly formed Schleuniger Automation GmbH in Radevormwald, a new product segment. After years of presence in China with an independent representative Schleuniger founded in 2005 a representative office in Shanghai, which was converted into a complete trading company in 2007. The Schleuniger Group was sold from January 2008 as part of the follow-up solution by Gerhard Jansen to the metal train group. As of July 2008 took over the Schleuniger group also active in the development and manufacturing of wire processing machines PAWO Systems AG, which has been renamed Schleuniger Solutions AG 2009. Another significant investment was made in 2013, when the metal train AG, the former Tianjin Haofeng Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd.. assumed, based in Tianjin, China, and as Schleuniger Haofeng ( Tianjin) Machinery Co., Ltd.. integrated into the Schleuniger Group. There are also high-quality machines for wire processing are produced. Prior to their acquisition Tianjin Haofeng Electrical Equipment generated revenues equivalent to about 5 million Swiss francs in particular in the Chinese automotive industry.
