Schlitz Christmas Candle

The Slasher Christmas candle in the Hessian town slit with a height of about 42 meters, the biggest Christmas candle that is not made of wax.

Since 1991, the keep of the castle behind, the 36 meter high tower behind, each year is wrapped in November in a red cloth and about 6 feet high flame for around 140 light bulbs mounted on the top of the tower. With an elevator inside the tower one can get to the top of the candle and enjoy the view. On the market square of historic Old Town takes on Advent weekends instead of the Christmas market, the candle serves as a special attraction.
