Schloss Beck

Schloss Beck is a palace from the late Baroque in Bottrop district Kirchhellen field Hausen.

History

Back in the 15th century there was a " Haus Beck ". The present building was built from 1766 to 1771 the architect Johann Conrad Schlaun as a pleasure palace for Friedrich Florence Raban of the wenge.

At the end of the 18th century, a liquor factory was operated on the property. From 1850 it belonged to the Metternich family. In 1958, the mining company Hibernia bought the area with the castle building.

In 1966, Karl cake baker acquired the very dilapidated castle and began to build a family amusement park to cover, inter alia, the cost of restoration. The castle and the adjacent farm buildings were and have since been gradually renovated.

Amusement Park

The surrounding the park was turned into an amusement park in the 1960s. The target group especially families with small children are addressed. There are especially a lot of classic children's toys such as climbing frames, swings and slides. The whole park is a little like a very large playground.
