Canopy walkway

A tree top trail ( and Others also Treetop Trail, treetop walk, TreeTopWalk, Waldwipfelweg ) is an organization established over platforms and bridges trail, which through the combination of classic trail elements such as panels or styli and experience-oriented sections of the understanding of the ecological relationships in the canopy of a forest taught.

The currently largest facility of its kind in the world 1300 -meter treetop path in the national park Bavarian Forest. Also in Austria, the Netherlands, Costa Rica and Australia exist treetop trails.

Altitude trails

Similar nature trails height. Unlike treetop trails put such on a high ropes course, which can only be committed by appropriate fuses (usually via ferrata sets ). On the platforms of various educational boards are installed, the information about the forest, climbed trees and basic ecological relationships and can be changed depending on the group of visitors. Altitude trails move at heights 4-15 m and are forest and tree gently to install with comparatively little effort. The first level trail was opened in Enzkloesterle ( Northern Black Forest) in 2008.
