School of Names
The school's name (Chinese名家, Pinyin Mingjia ) was a Chinese school of philosophy known as Nine currents (Chinese九流, Pinyin jiuliu ). The philosophers of this school are also referred to as a logician, the Chinese sophists or dialecticians.
They grew out of Mohism in the time of the Warring States Period ( 475 BC to 221 BC).

Literature Catalogue of Hanshu
In Hanshu yiwenzhi (Chinese汉书·艺文志/汉书·艺文志, Bibliographical section of the history of the ancients Han Dynasty '), which for the understanding of the pre- Qin period relevant literature catalog ( the Hanshu ), this spiritual stream are assigned to seven texts, However, these are only the first three handed fragmentary.
