School Sisters of Notre Dame

School Sisters of Our Lady (Latin: Congregation Pauperum Sororum Scholasticarum Dominae nostrae, religious symbol: SSND, School Sisters of Notre Dame) is a congregation of the School Sisters of the Roman Catholic Church. It is also known under the name " Gerhardinger Sisters".

History

In Regensburg were the only Alix Le Clerc by Blessed and Saint. Pierre Fourier, founded in 1597 " Congregation of Notre Dame - Choir of St. women. Augustine " active. With Maria Theresa of Jesus ( religious name of Karolina Gerhardinger ) began a period of prosperity for the congregation, it spread over 11 countries in Europe and America. After the death of the founder, there were more than 2,500 school nurses who worked in elementary schools, orphanages, day-care centers and kindergartens.

Organization
