Schroff GmbH

The Pentair Schroff GmbH is a German manufacturer of electronic packaging products and produces, inter alia, cabinets, cases, subracks and associated components for telecommunications, data centers or traffic engineering. The company is headquartered in Straubenhardt part of the U.S. Group Pentair. The Pentair Schroff GmbH is one of the largest employers in the region of Karlsruhe, Pforzheim / Enz.

History

Gunther Schroff began in 1962 with the construction of electronically controlled power supplies and created the Schroff GmbH. Then he recognized the need for building systems for electronics and manufactured rack systems, enclosures and cabinets. The mid-1960s developed the europac Schroff rack system for Europe maps whose outstanding feature is the 19-inch division. The acceptance in the electronics markets of the USA and Japan were the system of de facto standard for electronic building systems. Through its participation in the international standardization bodies of Electrical Engineering such as the IEC, the Schroff was a pioneer of the 19- inch dimension and thus also for the standard measurements of height unit (HU ) and module unit (MU ).

1979/80 branches were established with its own manufacturing facilities in the UK and France. During the 1980s Schroff Inc. / U.S. and Schroff KK followed in Japan. In addition, sales offices in Scandinavia, Italy and Poland were opened. Since 1994, Schroff GmbH belongs to the U.S. conglomerate Pentair. There it forms, together with brands Hoffman and McLean, the Global Business Unit " Pentair Equipment Protection ". With over 6000 employees worldwide and a turnover of over one billion U.S. dollars, these three brands play a central role in key markets worldwide.

Training

Since the late 1960s, Schroff GmbH invests in the training and development and offers seminars for the further development of team skills, presentation skills and product knowledge. About 45 trainees are currently employed at Schroff GmbH.

  • 2008: Recognition of the Chamber of Commerce as a training company with a substantial contribution to the promotion and qualification
