Schwarzhorn (Grindelwald)

The Black Horn ( 2'927, 7 m above sea level. M. ) is the highest mountain in the municipality of Brienz and is considered one of the most panoramic peaks of the Bernese Oberland. From the Brienzerseite ago the mountain path from Axalp about Chüemad and upper mountain runs on the Blackhorn. Just north of Grosse Scheidegg, the trouble to climb is rewarded by the panoramic view of the central Switzerland, the Bernese Oberland East and the Bernese Alps.

From the Grindelwald side leads from the ridge, a mountain path, which is well marked from the Schilthorn. Choose Experienced mountaineers to climb over Big Chrinne on the via ferrata along the west ridge. For this commission of a harness with self- assurance is necessary. For less experienced this tour can also be done with a guide. A small glacier, the blue Gletscherli, is located in the northern flank of the summit.
