Schweinitz (river)

The Schweinitz, Czech Svídnice, is a left tributary of the Floeha in the Erzgebirge.

Course

It rises north-east of the fire Hübels ( 780.90 m) at Klíny ( Göhren ) in the Bohemian Ore Mountains and flows through the marsh area of the Black Pool ( Černý Rybnik ) is first in southwestern direction; after one kilometer, it meets the border with Saxony and then forms over its entire course the border between Saxony and the Czech Republic.

Schweinitztalbahn

Between 1927 and 1969 ran from Olbernhau to the German Neudorf Schweinitztalbahn.
