The station Schynige plate ( [ ʃiniɡə platə ]; literally ) lies at 1967 m above sea level
on the territory of the municipality Gündlischwand and is located at km endpoint 7:26 Schynige Platte Railway.
There you can enjoy a panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains and of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
The Schynige plate is the starting point of the High Route by Faulhorn -First (Grindelwald ) and other hikes.
A special attraction is the Alpine botanical garden with over 520 different plant species in their natural plant communities.
