Scipione Tecchi

Scipione Tecchi (* June 27, 1854 in Rome, † January 22, 1915 ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Scipione Tecchi studied at the Pontifical Seminary in Rome, the subjects Catholic theology and philosophy. He received on 23 December 1876, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked as a chaplain in the Diocese of Rome. From 1893, he held various legal tasks for the Vatican. In 1906 he became an adviser to the Congregation of Rites, 1908 Secretary of the College of Cardinals. In 1914, Pope Pius X as a cardinal deacon of Santa Maria in Domnica title diakonia in the College of Cardinals, and appointed him Pro- Prefect of the Congregation of Rites. Scipione Tecchi died on January 22, 1915 in Rome and was buried in the local cemetery " Campo Verano ".
