Scott Kelby

Scott Kelby (born 7 July 1960 Lakeland, Florida) is an American non-fiction author.

Activity

Kelby is the author of numerous books on Adobe Photoshop, Digital Photography, and Mac OS. He is also editor and publisher of Photoshop User and Layers magazines and editor of the journal Darkroom. He is president and co-founder of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of KW Media Group, which moved both the said magazines and Kelby books. Kelby continue through seminars and conferences on related Photoshop and Adobe products and is involved in a Photoshop video podcast ( Photoshop User TV) with whom he hosted jointly with changing co- tutors like Matt Kloskowski and Dave Cross.

Kelby is married and has two children.

Awards

Both in 2006 and in the previous two years, according to Nielsen BookScan Kelby was the largest circulation computer book author in the United States. In the period from 2001 to May 2007 of his books have sold over a million, the work of The Digital Photography Book sold worldwide over a period of eight months, around 140,000 times.

The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers has been awarded the 2004 " Benjamin Franklin Award" from the Independent Book Publishers Association.
