Scott Rennie

Scott Rennie ( born March 31, 1972 in Bucksburn, Aberdeen) is a Scottish Presbyterian clergyman of the Church of Scotland.

Life

Rennie studied Geography and Christian theology at the University of Aberdeen, Union Theological Seminary in New York City and at the Theological Seminary Pittsburgh. On November 4, 1999 Rennie was ordained a Presbyterian minister. November 4, 1999 to July 2, 2009 Rennie was a Presbyterian clergyman in the parish of Brechin Cathedral Brechin. Gegemwärtig is Rennie clergyman in the parish of Queen's Cross Church in Aberdeen. Rennie was married to Ruth Rennie, with whom he has a daughter. After his divorce, he currently lives together with the Scottish teacher David Smith. Rennie was 2009, his relationship with Smith -known in his parish. An internal church debate on the admission openly homosexual cleric in the Church of Scotland began then. 2009 confirmed the General Synod of the Church of Scotland, the admission openly gay minister in her church.
