Scream Silence

Scream Silence is a German Dark- rock band from Berlin, which was founded in 1998.

Band History

The first album To Die For was named by the music magazine Orcus 1999 album of the month. Due to the success of the first album Scream Silence could go on tour with bands like Christian Death and Dreadful Shadows.

2001 was followed by the album The 2nd, the placed in all European charts. On the subsequent tour they headlined and played at the Wave -Gotik-Treffen. 2002 left bassist Rene Schulze and guitarist Joerg Rennewald the band and was replaced by Robert Klausch and Cornel Otto.

Without big promotion appeared in 2003 Seven Tears and provided excellent reviews on popular music magazines. The music magazine Zillo has named it album of the month.

In the autumn nights Festival at Burg Rabenstein Scream Silence played with Adam Pearson, the guitarist of The Sisters of Mercy. In spring 2004, they founded their own record label Plainsong Records.

The album Elegy was released in late October 2004.

With the entry of René Gödde as a second live guitarist's music was clearly guitar -oriented and its influences occurred " Saviourine " instrumental in the foreground. For the first time the band recorded in Eastern Europe increased album sales. This was also the case for the book published in the following year Aphelia on which the band darker and more introverted presented itself.

End of November 2008 appeared Apathology and sounds contrary to its title, quite lively.

After appearances on Mera Luna, the Blackfield Festival and a European tour with the Norwegian band Zeromancer it took almost four years to Scream Silence reported back in 2012 with their eighth album titled after himself under a new label Out of Line.

Scream Silence came in 2012 on the opening act of the tour of dust child.
