Sean - nós Dance

Sean - nós dance is characterized by its ground-level foot movements, the free movement of the arms and the music adapted rhythmic stomp ( Battering ) of the feet. Usually dancing to a tune only one person or alternate during a piece of music from several dancers. Even when several dancers dance at the same time, there is no physical contact between them. Due to the free form of dance there is no need for a rehearsed choreography and spontaneous dance steps are considered normal. Only in competitions and dance workshops several dancers dance at the same time after a pre- rehearsed choreography.
