Seat 124 Sedan

The Seat 124 is one to fall of 1980 produced by the beginning of 1968 cars in the compact class. It is, as well as the Lada 2101, a licensed version of the Fiat 124

General

In addition to the four-door notchback sedan, there was a five-door station wagon, which was 124 5 puertas in Spain Seat. Both models were up to two years before their details published on Italian models. The only engine was a long four-cylinder ³ with a displacement of 1197 cm, which carried 44 kW (60 hp).

In the fall of 1972, the following variants Seat 124 D Sedan and Seat 124 D 5 puertas published. On the engine had not changed, the front and rear were changed slightly. These guys were made for eight years.

From the end of 1976, the seat offered 124 D Especial 1800 ( only available as a sedan ) a new engine with 1756 cc and 87 kW (118 hp). In the last year of production in 1980, there was the Seat 124 D Especial 2000 with even larger engine (1920 cc, 84 kW/114 hp). Both vehicles have brought it to 175 km / h or 180 km / h

Parallel to the Italian types, there was the spring of 1970 Seat 124 Sport Coupe. Like the original Fiat had ³ a 4- cylinder in-line engine with 1608 cm and 81 kW (110 hp). Its top speed was 180 km / h After three years there have been - in Italy, as in Spain - a bigger engine to that of the Seat 124 D Especial 1800 corresponded.

Early 1976 the coupe was discontinued. A spider like the Fiat counterpart did not exist here, however.

Successor

As well as the production of sedan and wagon was discontinued in October 1980, it was (reckoned along with the nearly identical Seat 1430) with 900,000 copies, the hitherto most successful vehicle of the brand. As early as 1979 the Seat Ritmo was introduced as a successor.
