General

The Cordoba is a compact notchback sedan (later as a station wagon ). Based on the Seat Ibiza The technique is derived from the Polo 6N, Golf 3 and Polo 9N (depending on year and model ).

Another variation is the Van Seat Inca ( 9KS ), identical to the VW Caddy ( 9KV ). So also the sister model of the VW Polo Classic / Variant ( 6KV ) with the Cordoba / Vario is identical. However, there are differences on the VW sister model, such as the headlights, the radiator grille, taillights and more details. The range of engines and trim levels are comparable to those in Ibiza almost identical.

History

The Cordoba ( 6K / C ) was first introduced in the Ibiza ( 6K ) in February 1993. From early 1993 until the summer of 1999 was the Cordoba (as well as Ibiza) several small optical enhancements.

Then the Cordoba Vario was introduced as a combination in the summer of 1996. From model 6K / C GP01, there was a new front and rear fascias, clear-glass headlamps and a new cockpit, but the base is still the 6K.

With the introduced in August 1999 Cordoba GP01 to Ibiza and Cordoba distance from Polo sister model visually. Serious differences are in the Cordoba 6L / C: so there is no two-door model, the missing standard built rear wing as in the 6K and GP01. Also there is no Cupra version, and no combination of Cordoba 6L.

Equipment

The revised Seat Cordoba (internal: 6K GP01 ) came in the summer of 1999 to the dealers.
