Sebastian Halgasch

Sebastian Halgasch ( born December 20, 1980 in Dresden ) is a German swimmer.

Halgaschs Hauptschwimmart is backstroke. The Short Course European Championships 1999 in Lisbon, Portugal, he reached the second place as a back float with the 4 × 50 m medley relay. When single start in the 50m backstroke, he finished in third place. In 2000, he was in Athens (Greece ) with the 4 × 100 -meter medley relay Vice - Short Course World Champion on the back stretch. Only a few months later, the 4 × 50 m medley relay finished in Valencia, Spain at the 2000 European Championships Short Course the first place. Again Halgasch was set up for the back route.

In the 2001 season he won the Swimming World Cup in the 50m backstroke and 100m individual medley. As early as 1997 he was German Short Track Champion in the 50m backstroke.
