Life

He was educated in Hamburg from the Romberg student Nicholas bounce.

1830 Lee began his career as a soloist with concerts in Germany: first in Hamburg, then in Leipzig. It was followed by a tour through Kassel, Frankfurt to Paris, where he arrived in April 1832 and performed with great applause in the Théâtre-Italien.

Lee gave his 1845 used and known today violoncello school Op 30 out. Time in Paris was characterized by a rich creativity and innumerable concerts in the salons of Paris society.

In direct reference to the said school Op. 30 are the Etudes Op 31 Vol 1 and Vol 2, which today are also still available and in use. Also directly related to his school are summarized respectively to three works Duets Op. 36, Op. 37, Op. 38, Op. 39

After 1868, he returned back probably because of the political tensions between France and Germany, to Hamburg, where he participated in the Philharmonic concerts.
