Sebastian Piersig

Sebastian Piersig ( born May 28, 1984 in Spremberg ) is a German slalom canoe driver. He drives since 1997 with Felix Michel in a two - Canadians.

Sebastian is Piersig Sports soldier since 2004 and starts for the SG unit Spremberg, where he is coached by Armin Kießlich. He practices the sport since 1994, since 1997 he travels in canoes. In 2001 he won the gold medal with the team at the Junior European Championships. A year later, he won double gold, both with the team as well as in two. In 2004, he won two bronze at the U23 European Championship, 2005 bronze and 2006 silver with the team. Since 2006 he is also celebrating successes in men's area. Both in 2006 and in 2007 he won team gold at the European Championships, 2007 at the World Championships team silver. In 2007 he was German with Michel champion. The double is qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
