Sébastien Joly

Sébastien Joly ( born June 25, 1979 in Tournon, France ) is a French cyclist.

Joly was 2001 professional with Bonjour. As a young rider he won the 1999 Paris -Roubaix in the U23 class. His first professional success, he landed in 2003 at the one-day race Route Adélie. The following season he moved to Crédit Agricole, where he for the first time the Tour de France denied and she finished last but one. 2005 Joly won the Tour du Limousin his first tour, where he managed a stage victory. Since 2006, he runs for the ProTour team La Française des Jeux.

End of the 2011 season, Joly has ended his career as a professional cyclist.

Cancer

In June 2007, Joly was diagnosed with testicular cancer, the surgery was performed on July 3, which was followed by irradiation. From the disease Joly is the extent recovered, that he as a professional cyclist again - for example in the 2009 Tour de France - could walk to the start.
