Secret Squirrel

Siegfried Sqirrel ( engl. The Secret Squirrel Show) is an animated series by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera that aired in the U.S. for the first time in 1965.

Content

Main character is a squirrel who has worked as a secret agent 000. It is wearing a trench coat and a hat, which hangs so far in the face, that it can only be seen through two eye holes. Trademarks are after the Bond films designed, but covered gadgets and the villain against which the squirrels have to compete. Production and publication

The series was produced from 1965 by the Hanna- Barbera Studios, directed by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna. The music was composed by Ted Nichols. Secret Squirrel was first aired in the U.S. in 1965 as part of The Atom Ant / Secret Squirrel Show by NBC. The program consisted of half-hour episodes, which was divided into different segments. 1966 got the Secret Squirrel own series, in addition to stories about the namesake also films with "In addition Stars" as Squiddly Diddly were shown. In 1967 the broadcast after 39 episodes was adjusted.

1993 more episodes with Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole were produced, which were broadcast during the broadcast 2 Stupid Dogs at TBS. This new edition, entitled Super Secret Secret Squirrel reached 13 episodes.

The series has been translated into French, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish. The German version was first broadcast in 1974 under the title Siegfried Squirrel by ZDF.
