Seenbach

Flood the lakes Bach under the bridge of Castle Street in Merleau

The lakes Bach is a 18.3 km long, left-side tributary of the ohm in the High and Lower Vogelsberg, County of Gießen and Vogelsberg, Hesse. Its running in east-west direction headwaters located directly on the Main- Lahn- watershed, be the north extending underflow forms the border between the west ( = left) located Anterior and right-side lower Vogelsberg.

Course

The lakes creek rises at the northwest foot of the 640 m high Feldkrückener height, just over 1 km southwest of Kölzenhain and over 2 km west of Field crutches - both districts by Ulrich Stein. From here it flows first west direction over the Peter Hainer Hof, makes for about 800 m, the city boundary between Ulrich stone in the north and Scots in the south to eventually flow into Laubacher terrain and thus also in the district of Gießen. After the upper Seener courtyard of the Cross Seener reason is traversed until near the village of Freienseen the Lumda Plateau touches and changes the course to the north.

The now left ( = west ) of the federal highway 276 running river flows around the plateau from the east, reached inter alia the Grünberg district Stockhausen and finally, back in the Vogelsberg, the Mücker district Flensungen where flows from the right Ilsbach as the most important tributary. Immediately after flowing through the north adjoining the local part of Merleau lakes creek eventually flows to the left of the coming of the East ohms, which assumes now the north direction of its tributary the eastern border of the Lumda plateau.
