Sefi Atta

Sefi Atta ( born 1964 in Lagos, Nigeria ) is a Nigerian writer. She became known as an author of short stories, novels and radio plays. Her novel Everything Good Will Come was in numerous languages, including translated into German.

Life

Sefi Atta attended Queen's College in Lagos and Millfield School in England. In 1985, she completed her studies at Birmingham University from as tested accountant ( chartered accountant ). In 1994 she moved from England to the United States. Here she began to write in 2001 and took a course in Creative Writing at Antioch University, Los Angeles, in part.

Sefi Atta lives with her husband, Ransome - Kuti Gboyega, a doctor, and her daughter Temi in Meridian, Mississippi. She teaches at Mississippi State University.
