Segelclub Rhe

The Sailing Club Rhe eV is the oldest German sailing club. It was founded in 1855 in Königsberg in Prussia by the Oberprimaner Ernst Burow and eight friends in Burow's house.

History

They wanted to sail together with a fishing boat that had been given Burow. The Sailing Club Rhe became " the " Konigsberg sailing club. The soon many members sailed at the club and privately owned yachts and operated in winter ice sailing.

At the founding of the German Sailing Association and the Regatta Association East of the Sailing Club Rhe was involved.
