Seiji Ueda

Seiji Ueda (Japanese上 田 清 二, Seiji Ueda, * 1952 ) is a Japanese astronomer.

In the period 1987-2008 Seiji Ueda has discovered together with his colleague Hiroshi Kaneda 705 asteroids. In 2008, both were so number 16 of the list of the most successful asteroid explorer.

Ueda has a MD and Ph.D. Stanford University and is a member of the group at the Sogo Kenkyu Daigakuin Daigaku (English Graduate University for Advanced Studies ) in Japan.

After him the asteroid ( 4676 ) Uedaseiji is named.
