The seille ( German: Sell) originates near Ladoye -sur- seille. In Nevy -sur -Seille it flows together with a same source stream that has its source in Baume- les -Messieurs and therefore seille de Baume is called. It flows through the French countryside Bresse in the departments of Jura ( Franche- Comté ) and Saône- et- Loire ( Burgundy region).
